"Thank you so much to the teacher at Museum London. I saw the many
different pictures and then I got to go outside. I saw the beautiful pond. Thank
you for helping me go to the gallery." Wah Hser, ESL secondary school student
This youth participated in just one of the amazing programs we have at Museum
London. Like London Life: Making Art, Creating Community (M.A.C.C.), for
example. Partnering with the Thames Valley District School Board, the London
District Catholic School board and London Life, Museum London provides a unique
out-of-the-classroom learning experience to students from at risk schools.
These students visit the Museum to learn about community building, to take part
in hand-on studio projects and to see the exhibitions. They learn why art
and history are important to their community and to their lives.
The impact of an arts experience on students is telling. "Dance, music, theatre, and visual arts activities enhance our communities
through museums, theatres, concert halls, and galleries ... Arts advocacy groups
and associations provide much-needed grant funding, artist support, and
materials to continuously enrich the environments of our communities. These
activities and people help to shape the culture of our communities. Art
teachers, teaching artists, arts enthusiasts, and volunteers, daily provide
instructional and learning opportunities for all ages, all day, every day!"

Museum London's high quality programming and exhibitions cannot be achieved
without support.
We appreciate and depend on the generosity of the
community to enable the presentation of inspiring exhibitions and programs.
